Westenergy waste incinerator inaugurated

A new waste incinerator built by WasaCon and WasaSteel is inaugurated.

Minister of Economic Affairs Jyri Häkämies inaugurated the Westenergy waste incineration plant in Mustasaari.

The structural steelwork and façade cladding for the power plant buildings has been provided by WasaCon, with WasaSteel supplying the steel.

Steel supplies have included steel structures, facade panels, doors, windows, roofs, etc.

WasaSteel's steel delivery has been around 1.3 thousand tonnes, the largest steel construction delivery in installed capacity in the company's history. The steel delivery has included the steel structures of the facade, facade panels, doors, windows, roofs, etc. installed.

In addition, WasaCon has built the Westenergy administration building, which includes office and social facilities with two sauna areas, meeting rooms and an auditorium. The building covers approximately 1,000 m2 on two floors. WasaSteel has also supplied the steelwork for the administration building. The steel supply amounted to approximately 50 thousand kilos.
