WasaCon construction site awarded at FinnBuild fair

The Isokylä multi-purpose building was selected for the Saint Gobain Build Wisely Award at the Finnbuild exhibition. WasaCon is the main contractor for the Isokylä Multipurpose Building.
The Build Wisely Award was given to a building that has been designed and built with sustainability in mind.
The Isokylä Multipurpose House, to be built on site in Kokkola, will be fun and sensible, colourful and concrete-grey, allowing people to work in peace and encouraging a sense of community. The Multipurpose House will include day-care, education, counselling and youth facilities, as well as modern sports facilities. The building is large, but divided into separate buildings, allowing children and pupils to work in peace. After the schools and kindergartens close, the facilities serve the local community in the evenings and at weekends.
Carefully executed infrastructure construction is a strong WasaCon competence. An energy-efficient and functional building is built all at once, avoiding indoor air problems. The building has a ventilated façade solution developed for Finnish conditions, which allows any moisture that may accumulate in the structure to escape and keeps the walls dry.
