WasaCon to build Wärtsilä's new office building in Vaasa

WasaCon has been selected as the main contractor for Wärtsilä's new office building.

WasaCon is building a new office building in Vaasa. The new building will have a total area of more than 12 000 square metres and the estimated cost of the construction is around EUR 18 million. Oy Vaasa Parks Ab is the contractor and developer of the project.

Construction work has started on a new office building to be built in the Vaasa Airport Park area in Runsor for Wärtsilä's use. Work on the first phase A started with the signing of contract agreements on 25 April 2017, with the completion of the A premises scheduled for the end of May 2018. Preparations for the second phase B have been made to allow for the decision and start of construction in June this year. This would allow Wärtsilä to occupy the premises for both A and B in autumn 2018.

WasaCon was also involved in the construction of the current Powergate I property, which is located next to the property under construction. When completed, the new building will employ around 700 professionals.
