WasaCon to build DB Schenker terminal in Vaasa

Construction company WasaCon has been selected as the main contractor for DB Schenker's new terminal in Vaasa.

WasaCon is the main contractor for KVR and will take overall responsibility for the design and construction of the new terminal building.

WasaCon has a long 20-year history in construction and WasaCon has always been particularly strong in the field of KVR construction. WasaCon Oy is part of the WasaGroup, which includes WasaPlan Oy, an architectural and design services provider, WasaSteel Oy, a steel construction supplier, WasaTrade Oy, a machine rental and site services provider.

The new terminal will consist of a 3200 square metre heated hall and a 1000 square metre unheated hall.

The WasaGroup's services and expertise cover the entire range of construction tasks and create a very good basis for finding and implementing sustainable and cost-effective solutions for customers' construction projects.

In the DB Schenker terminal project, WasaCon is also utilising the expertise of the entire group, as planning, costing, procurement and construction are genuinely being taken forward simultaneously.

Construction cost information is used at the costing and design stage, and good design control speeds up the progress of a construction project. An efficient construction site not only ensures cost-effective construction, but also enables the client's investment to be put to productive use quickly.
