Construction of the Tokmanni department store in Harjavalta starts
The WGF I real estate fund will build a new store building in Harjavalta, which will be leased to Tokmanni department store.
The new department store will comprise a store of approximately 2,500 square metres and a garden centre. The store will open for Christmas sales towards the end of 2014.
The WasaGroup group is responsible for the design and construction of the department store. The architectural and structural design of the department store will be carried out by WasaPlan Oy and the construction will be carried out by WasaCon Oy. The steel frame of the building will be supplied by WasaSteel Oy, a structural steel supplier.
The construction site will have a significant employment impact in the area. The main contractor is the local construction company Astora-Rakennus Oy.
