Scandic hotel frame goes up

Construction work is progressing rapidly and the building has already risen 25 metres from its foundations.

Construction work on the Scandic Hotel started in January 2017 and is progressing rapidly. The building has now risen 25 metres from the foundations and the frame is being raised a further 19 metres. The installation of the cavity slabs for the sixth floor is also almost complete.

The building under construction will be an 8-storey triangular tower with 55 hotel rooms. The building will also include commercial space, three apartments and office space.

Airaksinen Capital Oy is the developer, WasaPlan Oy is the architect, structural and principal designer and WasaCon Oy is the main contractor.
