Klemettilä Business Centre completed in Vaasa
The business centre in Klemettilä, Vaasa, will be fully completed when Lidl opens on Thursday 25 November 2021.In the same area in Klemettilä, customers will also be served by a McDonald's fast food restaurant and a Neste Express station.
Lidl in the center of Vaasa is moving to a new property on Sairaskodinkatu, a stone's throw from its old location on Sepänkyläntie. The new store is based on the latest Lidl concept and has a sales area of just over 1,100 square meters. The new store will have the same familiar selection and the 22 employees familiar to those who shop at the center store.
"In almost the same location, we will be able to serve the people of Vaasa in a completely new building, which will serve us better than ever in terms of functionality. The new store has a clearer layout and the shelf arrangement is in line with customers' wishes and shopping behavior. I believe that customers will like our new store," says Lidl Sales Manager Satu Suominen .
Lidl invests in smart energy use, and the new Vaasa store also features energy-efficient solutions, including LED lighting and freezers and cabinets with lids and doors. All Lidl stores have an ISO 50001 energy efficiency certificate, and all locations use only electricity produced with renewable energy. Lidl aims to be carbon neutral in its own operations by 2022.
A project implemented by WasaCon
WasaCon Oy acted as the contractor for both the McDonald's and Lidl buildings, and both were completed on schedule. The cooperation between the parties involved in the project has worked excellently, and the entire area was completed smoothly in three phases.
"We are happy that the entire Klemettilä shopping center will now be open. The McDonald's restaurant has started operating well and we are of course looking forward to the additional customer flow that the opening of new stores will bring to the shopping center," says McDonald's entrepreneur Mika Rajamäki . The McDonald's fast food restaurant and car lanes, which were built as a separate building, were completed in late summer.
The Klemettilä shopping center project was completed in accordance with WasaGroup's Wasa360 service model. Neste has been developing the business location since the beginning of the project.
“In October 2020, we opened a Neste Express station in the area, which offers motorists Neste MY Renewable Diesel. It allows motorists to reduce their carbon footprint over the entire product lifecycle by up to 90%* compared to using fossil diesel. In addition, we are planning an Easy Wash car wash at the business location during 2022,” says Katri Taskinen , Director of Neste's Finnish station network.
The business center is financed and leased by Tuohex Real Estate Fund, which is pleased with the cooperation with WasaGroup. “The Klemettilä site represents a project that is just right for us,” explains Jussi Palmroth, CEO of Tuohex Capital.
The developer of the business premises was WasaGroup Oy and the main contractor for the site was WasaCon Oy.
