Two log nursery projects under way
WasaCon is currently implementing two log nursery projects for WasaGroup. In recent years, wood has become a popular material for nursery construction.
WasaCon Oy is implementing two log-frame daycare projects, both of which will be implemented using a collaborative model based on a public tender organized by the city. The collaborative model of WasaCon and WasaGroup is excellently suited to public competitive projects, and collaborative projects have already proven their competitiveness. The public sector is increasingly changing its real estate strategy from owning real estate to being a user of real estate or a buyer of services, where the service provider includes the premises that serve the operation in its service.
"Building daycare centers is especially nice because then we are building for future generations. As a father of five children, I know how important daycare is for families. We hope that the future users of the daycare centers, children and staff, will be satisfied with the end result," says Aivar Juus, CEO of WasaCon Oy.
Around the turn of the year, the new Länsiniityn daycare center in Vaasa and the Harjuniityn daycare center in Nokia will be completed. Both daycare centers will be approximately 1,000 square meters of log daycare centers with five groups, which will serve the daily care needs of approximately 100 children. The service provider in the daycare centers will be Verkanappulat Oy, the developer in the projects will be WasaGroup Oy, WasaPlan Oy has been responsible for the design, and the financier is Tuohex Kiinteistörahasto.
