Kajaani Pietari's topping-out ceremony
The renovation of the water roof renovation project in Kajaani Pietari 2014-2016 is in the commissioning phase. The inauguration ceremony will take place on 13.3.2015.
The project includes the replacement of the water roofs and timber frames of tower streets 3 and 5, tower street 4, school streets 1, 3 and 5, the replacement of the façade cladding, the replacement of window and balcony doors, the sub-roof works resulting from the new ventilation system and the replacement of the rainwater drains. The waterproofing work will be carried out entirely under a weather shelter to avoid moisture problems.
Sotkamontie 11 houses 1, 2 and 3 will undergo a more limited renovation. The houses will be provided with eaves, the façade cladding will be replaced and rainwater drains will be dug.
Developers
Koy Kajaanin Pietari is the client/developer of the project, Risto Korhonen is the construction manager and Ari Karjalainen is the construction supervisor. Matti Tolonen from Suunnittelutoimisto Määttä Oy is the main designer of the project. Lieke Suunnittelu Oy has made the electrical plans and Kainuun LVI-Suunnittelu Oy the plumbing plans.
WasaCon Oy is the main contractor for the project. Tatu Laakkonen is the responsible foreman and Jaakko Korhonen is the foreman.
WasaCon moves forward in Kainuu
WasaCon Oy is a construction company established in 1996. The company is headquartered in Vaasa. WasaCon expanded its operations to Kainuu in 2014 and is part of WasaGroup.
The Kainuu sites will be built entirely with Kainuu labour.
WasaCon has managed to quickly find several important partners in Kainuu. Porapekka from Hyrynsalmel will carry out the waterproofing demolition work, Kainuun Kuormamestarit Oy will carry out the earthworks, Kuhmon Peltityö Ky will do the sheeting work, Tähtöeristys Pohjanmaa Oy will install the felt roofing and Pept Oy Ab will build the scaffolding and weather protection. TImo Fordellin Latu ja Huolto Oy will carry out the lifting and transport work required for the site. The HVAC work will be carried out by RPK Rakennus Kemppainen Oy and the electrical work by Paikallis-Sähkö Oy.
The official completion date is 30.6.2016. The site is progressing well and in a spirit of good cooperation, with the aim of handing over the site fully completed by the end of August 2015.
