Johan Malm appointed CEO of WasaGroup
Johan Malm has been appointed CEO of WasaGroup as of 1 April 2019. Malm will develop and lead WasaGroup's operations and processes behind the unique Wasa360 concept.
Johan Malm new CEO of WasaGroup
Johan Malm will take over as CEO of WasaGroup as of 1 April 2019. Malm will be responsible for the operational activities and management of the WasaGroup group.
Johan Malm was elected to the new post in November 2018. Malm joined WasaGroup as Chief Operating Officer at the beginning of February. Malm joined WasaGroup from Sweden as Executive Vice President of ABB's global HVDC Solutions. Malm is a civil engineer by training with an extensive career in industrial project business development and management at companies such as Wärtsilä and ABB.
Wasa360 concept attracted to WasaGroup
WasaGroup's strategy is to be the best producer of raw materials in the Finnish real estate investment market. WasaGroup implements its strategy through the unique Wasa360 concept.
The Wasa360 concept is a unique way for WasaGroup to bring together the often conflicting financial and qualitative interests of the different players in the real estate investment market, the tenant, the real estate investor and the property developer, and to find workable solutions.
The Wasa360 concept organises the construction and real estate investment value chain as a whole and in a completely new way. Taking responsibility for the value chain as a whole is a way to provide tenants with high quality and affordable premises, investors with a good return on their real estate investment and to meet the cost pressures of a production organisation.

The Wasa360 concept means very diverse, large-scale processes through long-term projects. Johan Malm's role is to ensure that WasaGroup's services and production processes are developed in such a way that the business can be scaled up many times over without compromising quality.

WasaGroup facing huge growth
WasaGroup's order book is at a record level. The number of new projects in the pipeline for the WasaGroup, especially for the WGF real estate development funds, is also at a record high.
A large order book and a positive future outlook are an opportunity, but also a challenge. WasaGroup's operations and processes must be able to meet this challenge with efficiency. Johan Malm, as CEO, plays a key role in this.

WasaCon is the main contractor for Wasa360 projects in new construction projects in its area of operation, the old Vaasa County. WasaGroup's growth is also boosting WasaCon's growth.
Ari Tyynismaa and Jani Peräsarka to continue working for WasaGroup
Ari Tyynismaa and Jani Peräsarka, the main owners of WasaGroup, will continue to work for WasaGroup.
Ari Tyynismaa will focus in particular on new real estate development projects and building partnerships and networks to support WasaGroup's business growth. Tyynismaa will also contribute to building and maintaining the investor network of WGF funds.
WasaGroup has gained a reputation in the Finnish real estate market as a fast, cost-effective and high-quality operator. Meeting demand and growth requires continuous development.

Jani Peräsarka will focus in particular on real estate investment activities and the development of WGF real estate development funds. Peräsarka will in particular be responsible for investor sourcing and investor relations for the WGF funds, but will also be involved in the preparation of new real estate development projects.
WGF funds have grown to become the best real estate investment product in Finland. Now we are starting to invest in establishing, professionalising and growing the fund business.
