The renovation of the school and the partial reorganisation of the premises brought about many changes. The main change is the relocation of the kitchen and dining facilities to the first floor. The renovation also brought energy efficiency improvements: the renovated Porvarinkatu school uses 65% of the heat from the building's exhaust air. The project also included a lot of yard work.
